Merfolk Upgrade Kit with Alternate Commander
A collection of 35 powerful new cards to take your Merfolk deck to the next level. This kit also includes an alternate commander and new win conditions to give your deck the ultimate versatility with a totally new way to play.
Alternate Commander
Tishana, Voice of Thunder turns your deck into a card drawing powerhouse. Card draw is one of the main abilities that sets winning decks apart from losing decks. The more cards you see in a game, the better your chance of winning.
Alternate Win Conditions
New, and exciting ways to win the game. With an already powerful +1/+1 strategy from the base deck, you can use this ability to your advantage. (Pro tip: you don't need to use Simic Ascendancy's activated ability to put counters on your creatures, you can use Kumena or other cards to do it and get to 20 growth counters even faster)
Mana Rocks
Mana rocks help stabilize your mana base and allow you to cast your spells sooner. Beating your opponents to the punch is always beneficial. Some even offer additional abilities.
Sorceries & Instants
Slow down the enemy by keeping their best stuff off the field. Protect your stuff, with well timed, premium, denial spells. Extra card draw to refill your hand and keep the threats coming.
And More...
Artifacts
Powerful artifacts to let you cast expensive spells sooner, draw cards, remove your hand size limit so you can keep all the stuff you draw, and give your commander.
And More...
Enchantments
Use +1/+1 counters to win the game. Stop your opponents commanders. Punish your opponents.
And More...
Land
Scry lands allow you to smooth your draws, this lets you fix a bad starting hand or in the later game lets you draw more of what you need and less of what you don't.
And More...
Creatures
These creatures work with your other Merfolk to further your win strategy. They give your team boosts like island walk, let you draw cards, reduce casting costs, and more.
And More...
